THE TRUTH ABOUT LIBYA: "ALL THE CHEMICAL WEAPONS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED"

European press, especially Italian Media, are giving unlimited space to any news concerning Isis. Every day newspapers, TV, credited websites, in fact devote headlines and numerous journalistic services to the threat posed by the Islamic State against Italy. The sharp increase in mainstream media attention, however, is reached when came alarming news on the situation in Libya all over the world, situation ready to explode with serious consequences in southern Europe.

Unfortunately, in proportion to traffic growth of information on what is happening beyond the Italian coast, has increased the number of false news. This is the case of the hashtag #We_are_coming _O_Rome, presented everywhere as evidence of covert operations directed against Italian targets and later found to have been used about 50 times in the huge number of tweets about Isis. The case of "ISIS at the gates" has also reinvigorated the debate on immigration in Italy: from the numerous barges left from North Africa many fighters of Daesh would invade our country, not only, may also affect the Italian ships. Perhaps one of the clearest examples is the danger that the militiamen Isis could hit Italy by launching Scud missiles from the Libyan coast, widely unlikely hypothesis due to the distance between the Libyan and the Italian coasts and the capabilities of the fighters of the Islamic State to carry out an attack of this type. The combination of alarming information circulated on media and social networks has created a climate of concern. The final blow came with the release of the news of Isis fighters ready to use chemical weapons discovered in southern Libya, weapons held by the Gaddafi regime, no found by OPAC and ready to sow terror in Europe.

Sergio Giangregorio, expert intelligence analyst and Director of the Scientific Committee of Triage, tried to shed light on what is happening. "The issue of chemical weapons is part of a plan of disinformation already seen, and the sole purpose is to sow panic and confusion. The only chemical weapons in Libya were all destroyed, with no exclusions and wield a weapon of this kind requires great skills.  Europe is building a perfect casus belli, has relied on the most common fears, touching some of the most sensitive issues, such as immigration. It is not a sterile conspiracy theory, the truth of the matter is that the strategic interests in Libya are still very high, France and UK, in fact, strongly aim to oil in southern Libya. We also think of what happened in Rome with Feyenoord fans. In a minute the attention has gone to the lack of preparation of Italian institutions to defend its citizens and the thoughts of many has gone to ISIS. The climate that has been generated, first with the news of the missiles bound for Italy, then with the famous hashtag and chemical weapons, is progressively increasing the possibility that Europe strikes militarily stations of Isis in Libya. On the other hand would have the support of most of the population, which is what the Heads of State and Government want. It is not true that the fighters of the Islamic State have sophisticated weaponry and chemical weapons, but it's mostly unthinkable that they are able to use them. They don't have aircraft and pilots, in fact we can imagine at the image of Isis if a plane of Daesh was shot down and the video released, it would be a devastating blow to an organization that makes of the online propaganda its strength."
