Precisely because of this interference of Hezbollah in Syria on the Gulf Cooperation Council (Saudi Arabia , Bahrain , United Arab Emirates , Kuwait , Oman and Qatar) which has among its aims is to ensure the economic and political stability of the region, announced that six Member States shall revoke the visas of people associated with Hezbollah who take action on financial and trade in the Gulf. The Arab Gulf States and want to punish Hezbollah for its role in Syria , and for the discovery of several terrorist cells of Hezbollah in the Gulf States , through the expulsion of Lebanese linked to the Islamic group , it must be remembered that the expulsions could also include Shiite Muslims with no connection to it aside from their common religious faith.
The expulsions demonstrate how the war in Syria has revealed the ancient tensions between Sunnis and Shiites and highlight the sectarian nature of the conflict. To date at least three Gulf states Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar have evicted dozens of Lebanese in particular the United Arab Emirates are talking about at least 500 families evicted it is a real crackdown on people who have lost their investments and their livelihood. Despite his membership in Hezbollah Lebanese government has also decided to put their own interests and those of its foreign sponsors above those of the Lebanese people which would have been protected.
