Isis fighters have captured the city of Tadmur, located in the heart of the Syrian territory. The town, located on the main the road that connects the west to the east from Homs to Deir Ezzor, is an important strategic achievement for the Islamic State, which put its hands on the air base of Palmyra. On May 14, the IS had conquered the city of al-Sukhna, 70 km east of Tadmur. The Idlib-based coalition called Jaish al-Fatah, product of the alliance between members of Jabhat al Nusra and other opposition groups, took control of the military base of Mastouma, in Idlib province.
